Park Falls, Wis. (WCQM/WPFP) – Last Sunday, the Pike Lake Volunteer Fire Department hosted their annual Fun Day. We spoke with Manny Stein, who was the fire chief for thirty years, about the good the event has done for the department and the community.

“It was a good feeling, when you go to bed at night, that you got eighteen, twenty guys waiting for their pager to go off. To come and assist you,” Manny stated. “It’s a big deal.”

Manny helped with the fire department’s early days and is grateful for the help the event provides for the department’s funding, enabling them to further help the Pike Lake Area.
